US Energy Secretary Steven Chu said the Obama administration wanted to paint roofs an energy-reflecting white, as he took part in a climate change symposium.

Edmond What is your relationship with Superior Products International? Was this an independent production and if so, with whom? I am a distributor for SPI on the West coast and this is a very good sales tool and who do we have to thank. Good Job.
That’s a good question, Adam. I would think it would still provide some type of benefit because I thought that the color white reflects light. So wouldn’t a plain white roof still reflect some light and heat?
This is a cool video. I’ve been doing a little research on what the president is doing to reduce climate change and I did read that the Obama administration was thinking of “painting the White House roof white”. It’s great to learn a little more about what that means.
When they say it isn’t paint what they are refering to is the consistency difference between your standard paint and this coating. Standard paint is mostly water and is intended more for colour. The coating has a higher percentage solids count thus is considerably thicker.

Hmmm…so he said that paint isn’t the greatest term. So does that mean if I just painted my roof white, it wouldn’t do anything?

So is Obama trying to implement these white roofs as a law for everyone? Or does he just want to do it to the White House?

This stuff is pretty cool. It’s not really paint? Then what is it?
