Thanks so much for this!I would add is be careful exactly which variety of permeable pavers you chose I haven't been this moved by a blog for a long time! You’ve got it, whatever that means in blogging. There are good-looking interlocking pavers that fit together like puzzle pieces but that have sufficient gaps between them to allow water to seep down into the ground.Anyway, You are definitely someone that has something to say that people need to hear. Keep up the good work. Keep on inspiring the people!

Ellen,
We would recommend that you direct your attention to our GreenPages, located on the left side of the screen. Please search for your category and zip code. Providers which carry the GreenCheck seal have been fully evaluated by SCGH's GreenCheck criteria as vetting green providers. Good luck.

I am looking to install porous pavers on the sides of my asphalt driveway. The driveway angles down to the house and the grass/soil at the sides of the driveway has eroded due to weather and driving. Do you know of anyone in the Annapolis, MD area that has the pavers?

Lorna, the pavers you see in that photo are called a "fan kit". In fact, that is several fan kits all run together. Very custom work there.

Good article. One thing I would add is be careful exactly which variety of permeable pavers you chose. Some look very nice while some others look pretty hoaky because the joints are too large and obvious. The Arbel and PaveStone brands have some really nice permeable pavers, in my opinion.
