I live in the desert and I tried my hardest for the longest time to grow flowers in my garden. It was inevitable that they would wilt and die. Flowers don't grow in the desert. I research more about drought-resistant plants, and I realized that I LOVE THEM. I love cacti and succulents. There are so many beautiful different kinds of plants that grow naturally in my area and as soon as I realized that my garden is absolutely beautiful and flourishing!

If you are planning a garden make sure to use all organic materials and fertilizers. Nothing would defeat the purpose of a backyard garden more than filling it with chemicals and pesticides that do nothing but promote more chemical use and poison the environment. Please go 100% if at all possible.
