I read this blog about bamboo flooring on http://www.shakuhachi.com/BambooFlooring.html . According to them, bamboo ranks very high in hardness scale. It is harder than northern red oaks ash or beech.

I'm sure the pandas don't care if we humans used some bamboos for our flooring needs. You're right in saying that there are actually thousands of varieties of bamboo out there and they're not the ones the pandas consume.

I think it;s high time we consider something environmentally-friendly like bamboo floorings since it's a value for our money since it can be refinished several times.

bamboo is still expensive. i just say go for the cheap stuff and simply take care of it sustainable, like using good ecofriendly cleaning products. we cant all live like rich celebrities. yes yes it will pay back for itself but after all this is EXPESNIVE.

We have bamboo floors all throughout our house. We couldn't find any FSC wood that we liked, so we went with something that's sustainable and can be quickly replaced without a lot of effort. Bamboo is also very durable, I recommend it.

BAMBOO IS SEVERELY HARVESTED. I ADVISE AGAINST USING IT, UNLESS OF COURSE IT'S FSC CERTIFIED BAMBOO. GOOD LUCK.

I hear that bamboo has become over harvested and that the best way to go is reclaimed FSC certified woods.
