The same environmentally-conscious people who wanted the plastic grocery bags thirty years ago becuase paper bags were consuming too many trees are now admiring their plastic bags dangling from the trees they saved. The late 1970s alarmist crowd predicting an imminent ice has morphed into today's global warming/climate change alarmist crowd. It will only be a matter of time until someone finds something environmentally unacceptable about the reusable cloth bags. I have a suggestion. Every time you see a plactic bag on the ground, pick it up, put it over the head of an environmentalist, and tightly fasten a rubber band around his/her neck. You'll be taking care of two problems at once. You'll be recycling the bag, and reducing hot air/carbon emissions, thereby saving the ozone layer.

Reusuable bags are a great idea! Now, if only stores would charge people for using plastic or paper bags. This would dramtically decrease the amount of these bags used.

I grew up taking my own bags to the store. When I was little I remember seeing my grandma do her weekly groceries she would take the same bag that she had had for years and when she had a lot of things to buy, she would take this little metal cart with her to pull the groceries home.
