Thanks for sharing your webpage. Yes, xeriscaping really helps limit water usage especially in dry areas. We use drip irrigation in some areas of our garden and drought tolerant plant varieties in other areas. There is also a new system of watering called the Global Eco Soil Solution formerly called Earthmister system. This watering system is a series of conduits buried about 5 inches below the surface, spaced about 3' apart, in rows. This sprays water UNDER the grass so there is no residual spray above the surface. This allows for no mist and no waste; thus it saves about 40% of the water wasted from traditinal sprinklers. It is a new technology so it is rather expensive but I thought you'd find it interesting.
