Well sometimes "one man's trash is NOT another man's treasure" unfortunately but be creative. We have the same issue at my house, we keep these items around to clean our counters, bathrooms, etc. The ripped jeans I would turn to a insulation company and see if they have suggestions. One issue may be bulk, you may want to collect these items and then make a one time donation that is significant to a recycling textiles company. Either way, these items should NEVER be landfilled.
We had 3 garbage bags of old textiles (dust rags, holey socks, ripped jeans, etc.) that could not be given to charity. I live in Maryland and searched for weeks trying in vain to find a place to recycle these textiles. There was nothing -- we sent them to the landfill. Why is textile recycling so difficult?
