Rich Benci
Rich Benci has over 20 years of senior management experience across a wide array of businesses. Mr. Benci has been part of five start-up companies with three of them successfully acquired by larger entities and one completed a successful IPO.
Rich is currently in his sixth start-up entity as Executive VP for Sharecare, Inc, a health and wellness company founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz, Jeff Arnold, Oprah Winfrey and Discovery. Prior to Sharecare, Mr. Benci was president of RealAge, Inc. and guided the company through the wild “ups” in the late 90’s of ever-increasing investments, through “downs” of the dot-com crash, and turned RealAge into a thriving business ending with a successful acquisition by Hearst Magazines.
Gary Rappeport
Gary Rappeport, Co-founder/Adviser: As a key donor to Sierra Club, Gary worked with legendary Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope (who just announced his retirement) to create the idea that led to formation of SCGH. An expert in finance and computer science, Gary just completed the sale of his $400 million revenue automotive leasing firm, Donlen, to Hertz Corp. in a $250 million transaction. Gary previously worked in database management at Hewlett-Packard and NCR Corp. and continues in his private life as a devoted environmentalist.
